The Scientific Method

Investigating the Scientific Method and its Limitations in the Sub Atomic Realm

Starting around the time of the European Renaissance in the 14th century, the realm of the sciences began to really take shape.   By the 1500s, science became a primary source for society to understand reality - starting to supplant the dominance of philosophy and religion.   In early 1600s, Francis Bacon published his "Instauratio Magna", which proposed a new approach to scientific inquiry, known as the "Novum Ogranum Scientiarum".  This is considered the formal birth of the "Scientific Method".

The focus on sciences during the past 600 years of human evolution have been instrumental to our growth as a species, and allowed our consciousness to expand our control over the 3D material world - to advance more rapidly than any period of history before.   The growth of the sciences into biology, anatomy, chemistry, astronomy, anthropology, physics, and quantum mechanics has lead to an unprecedented evolution of our species, spawning engineering and industrial revolutions,  gigantic breakthrough in tools and technology that allow us to expand our individual and societal conscious spheres to new heights.

However, there is an interesting and important omission to the scientific method that cutting edge quantum science, and the ConscioCentric paradigm are at odds with.   The scientific method, in its current form, requires that all scientific hypothesis must be precisely reproducible by other scientist in other labs.    For the great majority of "macro experiments", dealing with Newtonian physics in a Cartesian coordinate system, this methodology of the scientific method works perfectly.

But with the burgeoning growth of the field of quantum physics, starting with Albert Einstein, Niels Bohr, David Bohm and others, we have begun to realize that the rules of the macro, Newtonian world start to break down when you focus down on the sub atomic realm.   In this sub atomic realm, scientists find many puzzling and interesting facts about reality.   Firstly, that sub atomic particles are not so solid after all, and exhibit a wave-particle duality, with a degree of uncertainty to their position and very existence, until they are observed by some sort of conscious observation.    We will discuss the details of these quantum experiments in other articles, but for now, the important takeaway is that across the globe, the most cutting edge research into quantum physics is telling us that consciousness may actually interact with, and unfold matter on a very fundamental level.

This relation between conscious observation and states of matter at the sub atomic level tell us that our current scientific method, which requires different observers to get the same exact results, may be an incomplete method, since it doesn't take into account any effect of consciousness or the observor.    In fact the current scientific method makes no mention of consciousness at all.   In the ConscioCentric paradigm, we say that the scientific method is an invaluable tool that has greatly expanded human consciousness and evolution, however the current scientific method may need to be slightly updated to take into account the observer / scientist / group that is testing an experiment, especially when testing science on the frontiers of quantum mechanics.
