Hugh Everett

Physicist, Quantum Foundations Pioneer

Hugh Everett's contributions to quantum foundations are monumental.   His Relative State Formation (aka: Many Worlds interpretation) of wave collapse is the most holistic and lucid vision of quantum mechanics and the true nature of reality.   It follows an austere reading of the Schrödinger equation, and does not create any extra arbitrary postulates like other quantum foundation interpretations.

The result is that we have a world that follows the known and measured behaviors of quantum mechanics  -- but it tells us that reality is actually more like an infinite stack of spacetime possibilities, where the Schrödinger wave equation describes the probabilities of the wave function and superposition collapse into the highly probabilistic and solid state that we think of as a frozen moment of 3D reality.

The ConscioCentric paradigm subscribes to the Relative State Formulation of quantum mechanics.   Most of the criticism for this interpretation of quantum foundations has come when considering the implication that every "choice" will branch into another of these "many worlds", and that there are an infinite amount of these branching worlds.   Many people have trouble with this implication, and how it relates to causality and consciousness.

Those who have trouble with this concept are looking at it from the purview of every "conscious person" existing in their own version of the many worlds.   In ConscioCentrism, this is not the case.  We don't all individually exist in our own version of these infinite Many Worlds, rather, we all exist in all of the worlds simultaneously -- the consensual decisions of the collective conscience creates a high percentage stack of overlapping, extremely similar variants of the many worlds, which we experience together in the "moment of now" -- the stack of similar many worlds becomes so highly probable, that we see it as solid reality in the moment.

Consciocentrism states that consciousness is fundamental to matter itself -- yes, there are divisions and clusters of conscious control over individual organisms and bodies, but in a larger view, we are all part of a collective consciousness.  Viewing from a span of generations, ages, or geological time spans, humanity and our collective society is part of a larger vector of consciousness that we all share a part of.   Individuals are a gathering of specialized organs that allow macro control.   Societies are a gathering of specialized life forms / beings that collectively group together with similar goals to achieve large changes over longer time spans.

ConscioCentrism states that the Many Worlds should not be thought of as individual, separate worlds, but more like an infinite stack of translucent pages with an outline on each.   Our Conscious Mind Eye looks down through this stack of the many world possibilities, and where they overlap, in the moment of now, we see this additive effect where the most probable state of the many worlds lines up and we experience that as a solid reality.   This fits with the Schrodinger equation and idea of there being many worlds of possibility that collapse into reality in the moment of now.

Consciousness, which is a fundamental, intrinsic property of all matter, exists in this many-worlds realm, and is the driver for this collapse into a high probability composite image of the many worlds into what we experience as solid reality.   We know from our own experience that we can traverse the many worlds realm, through mind.

Quotes by Hugh Everett

"The Many-World's Interpretation is the only completely coherent approach to explaining both the contents of quantum mechanics and the appearance of the world." - Hugh Everett

"The physical "reality" is assumed to be the wave function of the whole universe itself." - Hugh Everett
